Project Type: Non-commercial corporate website design

Objective:

The goal was to create a sophisticated, responsive website for VESNA Accessories that elegantly showcases handcrafted bridal accessories. The design enhances user engagement and supports a seamless shopping experience through an intuitive and visually captivating interface.

Rationale & Design Decisions:

1. Visual Identity & Aesthetic – The design reflects the brand’s elegance and exclusivity, using a soft, refined color palette and high-quality imagery to highlight the craftsmanship of each piece.

2. User Experience & Navigation – A clean layout and well-structured content ensure effortless browsing, making it easy for users to explore collections, read styling advice, and make purchase decisions.

3. Custom Illustrations & Typography – Unique design elements, including custom icons and sophisticated typography, add a personal touch while maintaining brand consistency.

4. Mobile Responsiveness – The layout adapts seamlessly across devices, providing a flawless shopping experience on both desktop and mobile.

5. Conversion-Driven Approach – Clear CTAs and well-placed interactive elements guide users through the shopping journey, enhancing engagement and potential sales.

This project was a great opportunity to refine my design skills, focusing on user-centered principles and brand storytelling.

So elegant!

One thing that I think could be improved is the Italiana typeface; its thinner parts seem to make the text almost unreadable from a bird's-eye view 🤔 I don't know how it will look once the website is built, but I'm hoping that using something like CSS font-smoothing will help with legibility.

Awesome work mate! I'm sure your client really happy with this outcome, hope to see your next work!

Great job! I like the branding, consistency, and elegance which clearly is transcribed in the design.

If I were to recommend some changes, it would be mainly two points:

  • I would be careful with the low contrast. Ideally all websites and applications should follow general WCAG accessibility guidelines which provide a framework for what the color contrast between the font and background should be. In your case, at first glance, you can tell that the white font on top of the almost white background is difficult to read. This can lead to many users overlooking what could have otherwise been a very important or popular destination, particularly for sales. This can be improved by making the background darker with an overlay, adding a darker gradient on the top of the page, or changing the font color of the navigation items.
  • Secondly, this section is missing a clear main CTA - the button in the center is outlined and more secondary in nature to the sale infobox. The users should ideally first see a main button which would direct them to the desired location (this can be e.g. a "view sale" button in the center with filled background using the primary branding color)

Let me know if you have any questions! Otherwise amazing job!
