FAQs
What are UX Project Briefs
Uxcel Project Briefs are real-world projects that help designers practice and develop relevant skills they might encounter in any design-first company. By completing projects, designers can receive professional feedback and build their portfolios. Each project is designed to train a specific design skill from one of six main skill graph categories.
Each project on Uxcel includes a design scenario, a design task, tools recommended for completing the project, and external resources. One of the most valuable features of Uxcel’s project is that they simulate real-life situations that UX designers are likely to encounter.
We have added a pool of Uxcel Mentors — well-established designers in the industry that are providing you with thought-provoking, actionable feedback, as well as tips for improvement, if necessary. Projects vary in design skill and level of difficulty, making it possible for beginners and experts alike to participate.

How do I earn a high score on my Project Brief project?
To excel in tackling a Project Brief, it's advisable to prepare thoroughly by undertaking relevant UX design courses and lessons. Uxcel provides a curated selection of external resources and lessons endorsed by its expert design team for each Project Brief. Prior to execution, meticulously assess the scenario, task, and completion criteria, and brainstorm innovative ideas. Endeavor to immerse yourself in the role of a UX designer within a specific organizational context, contemplating appropriate actions for the given scenario.
Conducting multiple iterations before submitting your work is strongly recommended. Carefully review the improvement recommendations provided by Uxcel’s mentor team, extract valuable lessons from your errors, and persist in your efforts. Keep in mind: continuous practice leads to mastery.

How can I submit a Project Brief?
Project Briefs are available to all Uxcel users, but only Pro members can submit their work and receive professional feedback. If you don’t have a Pro membership, you can still complete a project brief and request feedback from your design peers, Uxcel’s design community, or your mentor.
When submitting Project Brief, you will be asked to add a showcase image, create a submission name, and to write a brief description. You can find the best practices here.
