Rationale

Each notification is easy to read and understand at a glance. Titles are direct, immediately signaling the purpose of the message. The body text complements the title, providing just enough detail to inform and motivate without overwhelming users.

Notifications are designed to resonate with users by addressing their needs, preferences, or behaviors. For example:

  • The reminder for test results emphasizes the value of their personalized insights.
  • The subscription reminder ties into the user’s health routine, making it relevant and actionable.

They are also designed to not only drive immediate action but also promote long term engagement. By providing value (e.g., health tips, exclusive offers), they reinforce Thorne’s commitment to empower users through actionable insights.

Guidelines

All push notifications were designed to comply with iOS’s character limit of 178 characters, which allows for approximately four lines of text, including the title and body. Each notification has a concise title (fewer than 50 characters) and a body that remains within the remaining character count.

Thanks for your sub, Petar!

You did an amazing job here! A great design is when there is nothing you can remove. What I would like you to think about is :

Is there a way you could shorten the copy? Would that help the user?

Great vibes only! Keep it up!

Petar overall, the design brief and presentation are excellent! I would recommend shortening the body copy even further in the reminders. While iOS allows up to 178 characters, users generally have even shorter attention spans these days. Consider replacing some words with emojis to grab their attention more quickly.

Great work on including CTAs in the body text—they’re a nice touch!

Thank you Julissa, that is great feedback! I was really torn between using emojis or not. I noticed that they were good practice for exactly what you mentioned, but I had a feeling that they wouldn't fit with the brand. Maybe some sort of compromise would be to use "more serious/less colorful" emojis. Thanks again for the feedback, totally agree with you.

Petar, great work on crafting clear and actionable notifications! They align beautifully with the brand’s mission. Adding more personalization to headlines could make them even more engaging. Fantastic effort—well done!

Thank you Kristina! I agree with you, that would definitely make notifications more engaging.

I love what you've done here. Great job keeping the notifications clear, actionable, and true to the scientific wellness brand! My only qualm is that I feel they could be even more impactful with more specificity and personalization. For instance, instead of a general "Your results are ready!", it might be more engaging to say "Your XYZ Results Are In" so that it immediately tells users exactly what's waiting for them when they click on the notification. "Today's Health Tip Is In!" could be something like "Quick Energy-Boosting Tip." Could really boost engagement with these small changes!

+1 to that, that is a great recommendation Raaghavi. Thank you for the feedback!

Nice practice!

Thanks Le!

Impressive work! The way you’ve tailored the tone of voice to match the brand’s personality is fantastic. It’s clear that you’ve put a lot of thought into how to engage the audience effectively.

Thank you for nice words Oksana!
