Zalora - push notifications

In this project, I selected my most frequently used e-commerce app on my phone, named Zalora. My primary aim for push notifications was to ensure clear and consistent communication. Recognizing that users receive numerous notifications, I ensured ours were instantly understandable and aligned with Zalora's brand voice, making them clear and scannable.

I wrote 5 types of sample push notifications, including new arrivals, sales alerts, and order notifications. I only picked 3 notifications to be displayed on the screen at once, so it didn't overwhelm the users and encouraged them to be tapped because of the urgency of the messages.

Here are other writing decisions I made:

1. I focused on clear and direct messages to the point that they are concise and scannable, so users don't need to interpret the message further.
2. Key information should be the first to see, only with an instant glance.
3. The wording choice is personalized and natural by mentioning the first name and adding emoticons, making it feel both fun but also trustworthy.
4. I added some words that induce urgency, especially for the new arrivals and sales alert, so the users can act fast.
