  • Organize focus groups and analyze app analytics to study engagement patterns.
  • Use diary studies to track daily usage and frustrations with ads and algorithms.

  • Conduct usability testing and surveys to identify navigation and privacy issues.
  • Perform content audits to evaluate ease of finding and engaging with posts.

Why these methods?

I chose these research methods because they align with the unique behaviors and needs of each persona. For Rossy, I focused on efficiency and time-saving; for Alex, I prioritized engagement and creativity; and for Lee, I emphasized simplicity and ease of use. These methods will provide actionable insights to improve the platform for all user types.

  3. What are your thoughts on ads and sponsored content on this platform?
  4. Do you feel connected to your community or friends through this platform?
  5. What feature would you like to see to boost your creativity and engagement?

For Lee (The Passive Consumer):

  1. What is your main reason for using this social media platform?
  2. How often do you find it difficult to navigate the app?
  3. What do you think about new features introduced on this platform?
  4. How important is privacy and data security to you when using this app?
  5. What would make your experience on this platform more enjoyable?
