Content audit for Skyscanner's homepage with a focus on clarity. I used my UX writing and visual designer skills to audit this page.

Question: How would I describe the type of content audit I gave?

Thank you!

Very complete audit, easy to understand, and with suggestions.

I just miss an introduction page setting the goals for the audit. But I assume this would be agreed with the client.

That is an excellent, thoughtful analysis.

Hi Kelly,

This is a carefully prepared content audit where you considered how to serve the user and the business.

Well done!

Hey Kelly! Thanks for sharing your work. I really liked your presentation. It feels simple and straightforward, which I think stakeholders would really appreciate.

I also liked that you structured the audit as a table and used screenshots to support your points. It makes it easy to follow your evaluation, what’s working, what’s not, and the corresponding suggestions. The scope also is clear, since you focused only on the homepage. One thing I’d suggest here is focusing on one device type at a time, so the analysis can feel even more focused.

I also appreciated the final mockup with your suggestions applied. I’d also love to see more of the reasoning behind those changes, especially how they could help users and support business goals.

On the other hand, I missed a few things that I would make the audit stronger:

  • The goal of the audit, what you are trying to achieve and what outcome is expected from it.
  • Prioritization, so it is easier for the business to understand where they need focus first. One possible way to do this could be color-coding items based on severity.
  • Action plan to make your recommendations more actionable and making sure they are supported by solid reasoning.

Overall, I think the work is clear, well scoped, and easy to digest. With a bit more rationale, prioritization, and business framing, it could become even stronger. 🙌
