Website Redesign - iRevise

Project Overview

Revise is one of Ireland’s most trusted platforms for exam preparation, serving over 200,000 students and 15,000+ teachers. While the platform’s content quality and user base were strong, the public-facing website lacked clarity, modern aesthetics, and a strategic conversion flow.

The primary goal of this project was to redesign the website to better reflect iRevise’s credibility, increase user engagement, and guide both students and teachers toward subscribing to the platform.

As the sole designer on this redesign, my focus was on:

Structuring the homepage to communicate value within the first 5 seconds

Improving the visual appeal and scannability of key content

Introducing a role-specific onboarding section (students, teachers, schools)

Designing the “Subject” preview area to simulate dashboard utility and gently push users toward premium upgrades

Problems with old design

Visually Outdated Design

The interface lacked hierarchy, spacing, and modern UI patterns expected by today’s users.

Uninspiring Hero Section

The hero lacked visual appeal and failed to capture user attention in the first few seconds.

Missing CTA Above the Fold

No clear call-to-action to guide new users toward sign-up or exploring content

Lack of Trust-Building Elements

There were no trust signals like media mentions, user stats, or partner logos.

Features Rushed & Underexplained

The feature section felt crammed, making it hard for users to understand the platform’s value.

My goal for redesign

• Restructuring the complete website with modern design.
• Improve the converstion rate.
• Give first hand experince of the dashboard content withing the website.
• Role based separate pages for Students, Teachers and School Admins.
