Project Overview

Okkhor.com is an e-commerce platform based in Bangladesh, similar to Rokomari.com and Wafilife.com. The goal of this project was to create a seamless and user-friendly online shopping experience while adhering to the client's pre-defined wireframe.

Project Background & Challenges

This project came to me in 2022 when I was working as a UI/UX Designer at GenRes Agency. The client provided a wireframe and wanted the final design to strictly follow it, leaving little room for creative freedom. This posed a challenge, as I had to balance the client's expectations while ensuring the design was still intuitive, user-friendly, and functional.

Approach & Design Process

• Wireframe Implementation: Since the client had their own wireframe, my role was to enhance its usability while maintaining its structure.
• User Experience Optimization: Despite the constraints, I focused on making the design more user-friendly and purposeful by improving navigation, readability, and accessibility.
• Admin Dashboard Design: One of the key client requirements was a custom category upload page in the admin panel. Finding no existing inspiration, I had to design it from scratch, iterating over 20+ versions before achieving the final version. This was a significant learning experience in problem-solving and UX validation.
• Client Collaboration: As my first full e-commerce project, this experience taught me how to handle client expectations, justify UX decisions, and discuss the impact of design on business outcomes.
