Halloween style Icons

Background

Uxcel is an innovative online platform designed to empower budding UX/UI designers with engaging and accessible learning modules. To add a dash of seasonal fun and enhance the user experience, I embarked on a journey to create a Halloween-themed icon set for the app.

Inspiration

As an inspiration I have researched various movies which are Halloween-themed like Goosebumps and Harry Potter so that I get an idea of how Halloween is celebrated and what kind of elements can be incorporated in the icons.

So after getting hang of the Halloween, I completed the project challenge. As a complete beginner, this was an exhilarating ride for me because I have never presented and created any sort of project

Objectives

• Design a unique set of Halloween-themed icons
• Align with Uxcel’s playful and educational brand identity
• Enhance user engagement during the Halloween season

Process

Research and Inspiration

Explored various Halloween symbols like pumpkins, ghosts, bats, and witches

Watched classic horror films and examined popular illustrations to capture the essence of Halloween

Learning Tools

As a novice, I dived into mastering Figma, focusing on the pen tool and icon grid system.

Participated in Uxcel's courses to better understand design principles and apply them effectively.

Design & Development

Sketching initial concepts and refining them.Creating vector icons in Figma, ensuring consistency and scalability.

Challenges

Overcoming initial struggles with design tools and techniques.Balancing spooky elements with a friendly and approachable design
