Design Scenario: Twitter/X User Engagement Decline

As a UX designer for Twitter/X, I've observed a decline in user engagement and want to address this by conducting user research to understand their needs and pain points better. This research will help in designing solutions to enhance the overall user experience and bring users back to the platform.

Hello Fulya,

I wanted to start by saying your project is very impressive with the thoroughness of your Twitter/X user engagement project. You've clearly put a lot of thought into identifying the key challenges and insights, and I found your analysis very insightful.

I especially appreciate how you've highlighted issues like platform volatility and algorithm problems. These are definitely critical factors affecting user engagement on a global scale. Your insights about feature consistency and community infrastructure are also particularly strong and well-articulated.

To further enhance this project, I'd suggest considering a few additions. Adding data to support your findings, even anecdotal evidence, would make your analysis even more impactful. It would also be beneficial to diversify your personas to represent a wider range of global users, which would help us understand the nuances of user behavior across different regions.

Your focus on algorithmic transparency and trust erosion is very relevant. These are key concerns for users worldwide, and I think you've done a great job of highlighting their importance.

Overall, this is a really solid foundation for understanding the decline in Twitter/X user engagement. With a few additions, we can make it even more comprehensive and insightful. I'm excited to see how this project evolves!

I love your UX research. It is well-structured and insightful, addressing key concerns about declining engagement on Twitter/X. I appreciate the focus on user interviews to gather qualitative data, as well as the identification of pain points like algorithm concerns and information overload. These findings will be valuable in designing solutions to improve user experience and retention. Great job!

Thank your for your valuable feedback.

Nice, but there isn't really an exploration of multiple lives. Try looking more into why they are leaving and what they are dissatisfied with.

You should try including more of what they ARE satisfied with as well, so you can know what you are doing right and need to continue doing.

Yes, you're absolutely right. I'll take this into consideration when refining the design brief.
