Task Management Dashboard
This was a quick design exercise for a job interview process I recently went through. A summary of the brief: Design a one-page dashboard for a fictional task management app. The goal is to create a clean, user-friendly UI that gives users an at-a-glance view of tasks, projects, and productivity. Focus on clear hierarchy, spacing, and consistent design. Optional: include a mini design system. Feedback is greatly appreciated!

Great and the lay out okay
Joesfina, great job on this dashboard! It’s clear you’ve put thought into hierarchy and clean layout—everything feels approachable at a glance, and the spacing makes it easy to scan.
A couple of small things to consider as you keep refining:
-Badge Contrast: Some badges could use more contrast so they stand out better, quick double check with WCAG guidelines will be useful
-Notification Colors: I noticed notifications are grey in the sidebar and purple in the mid bar. Keeping the color consistent will help users know what’s active or needs attention, no matter where they are on the page.
-Clarity on Status: If badges or notifications mean different things, maybe a quick legend or hover tip could help new users to fully onboard
Lovely clean dashboard with a solid hierarchy, you could dial back the strong primary color for better focus, but overall it’s approachable and well thought out!
Overall it looks like a dashboard however the primary color is quite strong and all over the page which might result in non-focus area. I would suggest using quick AI tool to check focus area or heatmap area to ensure the intended CTAs are well prominent on the page. Maybe instead of having 3 primary buttons, you can consider to arrange and adjust the button hierarchy here to point out which one is your main focus or lead the user to perform the task.
