Halloween-themed icon set for Instagram app
Key idea
Redesign simple, laconic icons set in the existing brand style of the Instagram app, but animate icons on select / tap action. This is more like an easter-egg approach: the user initially sees a pretty normal icon, and the actual spook 👻 shows up when tapping the icon.
Design process & Challenges
The main challenge was to find a proper halloween-ish 🎃 visual metaphor in standard, well-known icons (home, user, add, search, settings, etc.). The biggest challenge was to make animation only with Figma native tools (in a prototype mode).
The best way to present icons is to see them in motion. So please, follow the Figma link 🔗

Your approach to use animation in the Halloween theme icon set design for Instagram is creative and out of the box! In addition, your implementation is seamless.
Great work!
Awesome job, Bohdan! Your Halloween icon set for Instagram is both playful and spooky, with animations that bring them to life. I love the seamless integration of your style with Instagram’s vibe. It’d be even more exciting to see these in action with mockups or different states. Keep up the great work!
Greate work!
Great job on this icon set—they have such a cute, spooky vibe! The animations are lovely too!
The icons are so creative and I love how smoothly you animated all of these and your attention to detail. I wish these icons were on my app haha. Great job on these!!!
Good work, Bohdan!
I really enjoyed the presentation and your style for the animations and style. Great skills can be seen from your side. The style is clean as the Instagram visuals, so it seems very smooth :)
My suggestion is: You could try different approaches like other states and create a whole scenario using the Instagram Interface and mockups so it could look more real and immersive.
Congrats again!
