Product Discovery
Learn the fundamentals of product discovery and how to build products your users truly need. Master key techniques and create user-centered solutions.
About this course
Product discovery is the secret ingredient behind successful products, setting it apart from traditional product development approaches that often rely on guesswork or assumptions. In a world where old methods typically start with a product idea and hope it sticks, product discovery flips the process on its head. Instead of building first and hoping users come, you’ll learn how to uncover exactly what users need and craft solutions that fit seamlessly into their lives. This course goes beyond just brainstorming sessions or high-level ideas — it's about digging deeper to understand your customers, aligning solutions with business objectives, and rigorously testing assumptions before making any costly commitments.
In this course, we’ll take you through a continuous discovery mindset, teaching you to make discovery an ongoing, iterative process rather than a one-time activity. You'll master techniques like customer interviews to extract meaningful insights, and you’ll discover how to define and prioritize opportunities that directly impact your product and business outcomes.
Unlike traditional methods that often jump straight into product building, you’ll learn how to outline solutions, test assumptions early, and iterate on your ideas quickly through prototyping. By the end of this course, you'll be empowered to replace the old “build and pray” model with a more thoughtful, data-driven approach that ensures you're always working on the right problems and delivering the right solutions. This course is your pathway to mastering modern product discovery, helping you avoid costly missteps and guiding your team to develop products that customers truly love.

I moved into the tech startup and scaleup world eight years ago, after spending twelve years in consulting and banking. Since then, I’ve settled into the Product function and am currently in my third Head of Product role. While I operate within Product Management, I still approach everything from a strategy-first perspective. My focus is on helping businesses find true product-market fit, zero in on underserved needs, and seize opportunities that align with their unique strengths. I’m particularly passionate about navigating the tricky balance between taking cautious early steps and setting up for scale when things start to work.
Right now, I’m helping to build Timebook—software designed to support disruptive companies in “building the right thing” and enabling entire organizations to act responsively and drive outcomes. I work closely with founders and early-stage teams to sharpen Product Strategy, maximize the potential of emerging Product and Tech orgs, and embed agile principles into every facet of business decision-making.
