To address the decline in Snapchat engagement, I conducted user research through quick interviews, app reviews, and social media analysis. I focused on Gen Z users, who expressed frustration with cluttered feeds, ad overload, and pressure from features like Snap streaks. From this, I created a persona, Sophie, a 25-year-old student who values creativity, privacy, and meaningful connection. This persona helps guide design decisions to simplify the interface, reduce noise, and refocus the app on authentic, friend-centered experiences.
