This is a portfolio site that I am planning to redesign. I need feedback on how it looks, if the information each project provides needs work, removing any other projects. I'll be adding new ones and sharing here as well. Some projects were purely visual design, so I'm not sure how to frame a problem solution from that lens. Any feedback is invaluable. Thanks!

You’re living every designer's dream right now, Stephanie, you get to finish your personal portfolio 😆 Some of us will just keep paying yearly/monthly for domains and hosting until god knows when.

By the looks of it, you’re already a few steps ahead of us as well. You’ve got personal brand colors and a logo, although it seems you haven’t decided which shades of gradient you’d like to use; the ones on the website and Dribbble are different! I don’t know where your progress is right now on this redesign of your personal portfolio project, but based on the current version, I think you can improve in the following areas:

  • Show more of your personality, I know how vague this sounds, but I think it translates to taking some time and carefully choosing the typography you’ll be using for your site. Something that will enhance or at least accompany the already customized color and logo. Will you continue using Adobe Portfolio or change platforms for the next version?
  • I’ll just assume you were locked into this platform and haven’t had the time to play around with it as much, hehe. Judging by your Wells Fargo brand principles illustrations, you shouldn’t have any problem with font pairing, unlike what I saw the first time I landed on your page, which had an unusual mix of font size, weight, and hierarchy.
  • I hope you’re not under NDA and can show your newest work. For more tailored feedback I think I’ll just stop it right here until you upload the redesigned version ✌🏼

Regarding the information, I concluded, it seems you’re a bit confused about how to present yourself (lmk, if I’m wrong)? Some people are taking a step back and resorting to a generalist role, allowing them to state and show on their site as: Designer (Product, Web, and Visual). Others have decided to create a separate portfolio that emphasizes their role as a Product Designer and the rest. I guess it depends on how you’d like to present yourself and attract future work. Will you be a Product Designer or still showcase UX, visual, illustration, branding, and freelance work?
