BookLoop is a book shop app that operates on a principle of matching books based on users interests in genres and other criterious. It is inspired by Tinder app operating principles just to make book shopping experience fun and engaging.

High competition in a book shop sector can bring challenges and downfalls, such as lack of notability and usability of a certain app.

Hi Vaiva, 👋

You've done an outstanding job with the BookLoop app! 🤩 👏👏

Here's my feedback on your project:

Key Strengths

1️⃣ Engaging Concept

The Tinder-inspired swipe mechanism is a fantastic approach to book discovery. It adds a modern, gamified twist, making the user experience enjoyable and memorable.

2️⃣ Strong Visual Design

The use of vibrant colors, clean typography, and well-chosen imagery creates a visually appealing interface that perfectly aligns with the app's playful theme.

3️⃣ Intuitive User Flow

4️⃣ Prototyping & Wireframing

Your wireframes and prototypes demonstrate a high level of skill and attention to detail.

6️⃣ Case Study Presentation

The case study on Behance is well-structured and engaging.

Suggestions for Refinement

🔹 Timeline in the Presentation

While the timeline highlights the project phases, it would be beneficial to indicate the duration of each phase to provide more context about your workflow.

🔹 Persona Enhancements

Consider including key persona elements such as Goals, Motivations, and Pain Points to make them more actionable. You can refer to this lesson for guidance: https://app.uxcel.com/lessons/personas-205?search=persona

🔹 Conclusion

Adding a conclusion to the case study with key learnings, reflections on what went well, areas for improvement, and next steps would give the project a more rounded and professional finish.

Overall, this is a well-thought-out and innovative project! Great work! 🙌🥳🥳

Thank you for your kind and informative review, Sayed. I totally agree with your arguments and understand that project lacks more insights, reasoning and decent wrapping up. Will try to make it right, thanks!

Hello Vaiva,

Great job on your project! The whole idea is really interesting, and the design implementation looks fantastic. The composition is very neat and impressive. My only recommendations are:

  • Ensure your thumbnail is clear; I recommend using one with a minimum width of 1600px.
  • Include the video in the description to ensure good quality when presenting.
  • Edit the copy on Behance from "BookLoop book shop app" to "BookLoop Book Shop App" or another title that looks great.
  • Make sure the text is left-aligned, especially in paragraphs, to maintain consistency.

Hooray for that, Vaiva! Thanks for the joyful journey.

Very needed and helpful insights, Kyle. Thank you!

A compelling presentation with exciting stylings. I enjoy how you've used the colour accents throughout the presentation. I loved the onboarding and swiping interface. I'd just mention that so much of the interface is only shown in the video, it would be easy to miss in a design review or portfolio appraisal. I'd pull out some more of those designs and show them loud and proud because it's excellent.

Thank you so much! I felt really insecure by showing everything here, because in my mind the project is not perfect and totally complete, but i will try to be more courageous!
