A bank's 404 page has to be reassuring, helpful, and trustworthy. In this 404 page design, I have successfully implemented all of these needs while keeping it modern, engaging, and on-brand. The user not only has multiple options to get back on track with what they are trying to access on the website but also to leave feedback.

Your 404 error page has a lot going for it! I love the imagery and overall design. The inclusion of a search bar, a back-to-home button, a link to support, and the option to rate the page, is really thoughtful and user-friendly.

However, the copy could use some improvement. The heading "uh oh" might come across as too casual and could potentially irritate some users. A more neutral or supportive heading might work better. Also, instead of saying "looks like there's been an unexpected error," be more descriptive and direct, like "The page you are looking for does not exist." This will help users understand the issue more clearly.

Great work overall, and with these small tweaks, it will be even better!

Nice job there!

  • I really admire the color and imagery (though the piggy looks a bit different in style—simpler than the coin in the 404).
  • Providing an option to return to the homepage and including a search box is thoughtful.

Still, here are some considerations:

  • I'm not sure "unexpected" is the best word to characterize the essence of a 404 error (which is "page not found"). "Unexpected" is more suited to, say, an interrupted internet connection.
  • The mixture of "Uh Oh" and "unexpected" feels a bit contradictory to the "Worry not" that follows. I think the title would benefit from explicitly naming the essence of the error.

Hi, Annija

Well, first off, I understand this page has something to do with money, hence the coin and piggy bank. The typeface your chose works well with this page, clear and readable. I like the search bar, it's well-designed.

I think there is too much going on here. Like, the hierarchy is not structured. You have a 404 image, then a piggy bank and it all looks like one area. Perhaps you could structure it in a way that helps users digest the information you need to provide.

I just noticed the bottom text 'Was this page helpful?' I think not many people thought about this and it is actually quite helpful to include this.

Last, is the 'or' neccesary? I mean, wouldn't the user know that they have options? If you moved the search bar closer, it would serve as proximity to the button.

Pretty good... pretty good.
