For instance, if you're designing a webpage and want to ensure that the text and images are aligned consistently from the top of the page, you can use the horizontal ruler at the top to guide you. Similarly, the vertical ruler on the left can help align elements side by side.

To enable rulers in Figma, go to the main menu, select: View > Rulers, or use the keyboard shortcut Shift R.
