Date input

Date inputs are text inputs with some extra formatting. While most date inputs allow users to enter a date manually, some also provide a calendar dropdown for picking dates. Any time your users need to enter a date, schedule an appointment, book a flight, buy a movie ticket, etc., using a date input specifically makes it easier to complete. Date inputs should use masks and placeholders to indicate the format of the date to be entered.
