Selecting nested layers

To select a specific layer within a group, start by clicking on the layer. This initial click selects the layer's parent group. If you wish to go deeper and select a nested layer within this group, you have two options: double-click on the layer or press the Enter key. This action will take you one level down in the group's hierarchy, allowing you to select the nested layer directly.

For even more precise selection, particularly when dealing with complex groups or wanting to directly select a top-level frame or a deeply nested layer, you can use the deep select feature. Click on the layer or object on the canvas, while holding down:

  • Mac: Command
  • Windows: Ctrl

This method bypasses the hierarchy and selects the layer or object directly, regardless of its nesting level.
