Beauty and fashion wireframing

Beauty and fashion wireframing

Fashion and beauty wireframes must convey aesthetic sophistication even in grayscale. These industries sell aspiration and identity, not just products. Your structural decisions, including generous whitespace, asymmetrical layouts, and dramatic scale contrasts, communicate brand personality before any visual design begins.

Typography hierarchy becomes crucial even at the wireframe stage. Fashion sites often use extreme scale differences: tiny navigation text juxtaposed with enormous headlines. Show these proportional relationships in your wireframes. Include notes about intended typeface personality (elegant serif vs. bold sans-serif) to guide visual designers.

Product presentation wireframes need special attention. Fashion sites might show single hero products with extensive details, while beauty sites often feature ingredient lists and application instructions. Your wireframes should indicate where lifestyle imagery dominates versus where product information takes precedence.
