Decide on wireframe content

Dummy content refers to placeholder text and images that share some characteristics of real content. Image placeholders, like the classic mountain-and-sun icon or boxes with diagonal lines, are commonly used in low and medium-fidelity wireframes. Text placeholders like Lorem ipsum are also widely used, though they come with trade-offs.

On one hand, Lorem ipsum speeds up the design process by allowing work to move forward while actual content is being written. On the other hand, it doesn't behave like real content. It can make it difficult to choose the right alignment, determine appropriate line lengths, or understand how the final text will feel within the layout. For this reason, some designers prefer using realistic placeholder content, even if it's not final, to get a more accurate sense of how the design will work.
