Wireframe only key screens
Responsive wireframing multiplies effort — every screen needs versions for each breakpoint. Wireframing every possible page across all breakpoints quickly becomes unsustainable. Focus on templates and critical user paths instead of exhaustive documentation.
Identify template patterns that cover multiple pages. A "content page" template might serve about, contact, and policy pages. Create responsive wireframes for unique templates and key conversion screens. Your homepage, product template, and checkout flow probably need full responsive treatment. Your terms of service page probably doesn't.
This selective approach provides enough detail for development while maintaining momentum. Developers can extrapolate responsive behaviors from key examples. Edge cases can be resolved during build rather than over-documented upfront. The goal is informed decision-making, not comprehensive specification.
