MedPal is a healthcare management platform for patients and doctors that can be used to schedule medications and other tasks, as well as view patient files and records, among other things.

My task as the UI/UX designer was to create a single multifunctional web tool that could help individuals and health professionals manage patients, appointments, schedules, and other tasks all in one workspace.

The solution of this tool is to help doctors keep tab on their patients and encourage patients keep up with medication, especially chronic patients, so as to foster quick recovery.

MedPal - Medication Reminder 1

This statistics dashboard page is where the health professional (doctors) can easily view their total patient's overview, how far they have been keeping up with making sure their patients are taking their medications to encourage quick recovery. The dashboard clearly shows data of the patients registered under a health professional's care.

Clean and minimalist design with ample whitespace, clear segmentation of information, and consistent use of icons make it easy on the eyes and allow key information to stand out. Readable typography, effective data visualization, and clear navigation further enhance the user experience. The sidebar with labeled icons provides easy access to the profile picture and settings. However, the blue and grey tones in the charts and buttons could benefit from higher contrast for better readability.

Overloaded Data in Patient Activities Analytics: The bar graph is cluttered, making it hard to grasp information quickly. Consider simplifying or aggregating the data.

Crowded Sidebar Icons: Increase spacing between icons or add labels for clarity.

Ambiguous Icons: Use more representative icons for sections like Total Patients and Total Medications.

Minimalist Reports Section: Add context like report status or category icons to enhance usability.

Generic Title: Tailor the main header to the user for a more personalized experience.

Limited Filtering: Add options to customize date ranges and data types for better control.

- Lack of visual cues for clickable elements.

- Small text and low contrast may be challenging for some users.

Suggested improvements:

 - Increase color contrast, especially in graphs.

 - Simplify Patient Activities Analytics Chart.

 - Use consistent chart types for visual harmony.

 - Add labels to sidebar icons for better navigation.

 - Choose more intuitive icons to reduce ambiguity.

 - Enhance the Reports section with additional info.

 - Provide date filtering and customization options.

 - Introduce interactive feedback with hover effects.

 - Slightly increase the font size for body text.

 - Ensure all elements meet contrast requirements for better accessibility.

The clean and organized layout makes it easy for healthcare professionals to navigate and quickly access key data. The thoughtful use of colors enhances the professional tone, ensuring a clear distinction between different sections without being overwhelming. The intuitive design allows for seamless tracking of patient progress, which is crucial for healthcare providers managing chronic conditions. Overall, the dashboard offers a solid, efficient tool that simplifies patient management and fosters better care coordination.
