Empower Your Journey: Establish Healthy Eating Habits with Ease
In developing a healthy habits app, I conducted user persona analysis based on affinity maps, empathy maps, and in-depth user interviews, categorising personas into three types according to their motivations, pain points, and final goals: Support-Dependent Strugglers, Goal-Oriented Achievers, and Holistic Lifestyle Practitioners. The key indicators of these personas provide essential insights for UX design and feature development. Support-Dependent Strugglers need personalised reminders and external motivation to stay on track, so feature design should focus on social interaction and support reminders. Goal-Oriented Achievers prioritise efficient, rapid goal achievement, suggesting that workflows should emphasise accurate data feedback and quick tracking. Holistic Lifestyle Practitioners, on the other hand, seek mental and physical balance, favouring flexible, self-directed health management, meaning the app should offer more freedom in habit tracking and progress visualisation. These insights lay the foundation for defining the app’s red routes and user workflows.

The project clearly identifies three user personas with specific needs: Support-Dependent Strugglers, Goal-Oriented Achievers, and Holistic Lifestyle Practitioners. The insights lead to practical feature suggestions, like personalized reminders for strugglers and quick data feedback for achievers. More user testing could improve the design. Overall, I’d rate it 4/5 for its focused insights and solid foundation for feature development.
