Project Description

PodSmart is a light-themed, mobile-first podcast app I designed using UXPilot for the Uxcel community challenge. The goal was pretty clear: help busy professionals learn faster from podcasts without having to sit through full episodes. People usually want the insights, not the filler, and existing podcast apps don’t really solve for that.

I used UXPilot to generate the core experience of the app, from searching for a topic like “product-market fit” to getting AI-curated snippets, saving them to custom insight boards (I call them Snaps), and sharing those boards with others.

The main focus was on clarity, speed, and making every screen feel like it respects the user’s time.

Some Prompt Examples I Used

For the search results screen:

“Design a light-themed mobile screen for a podcast app showing smart AI-generated snippet cards for a topic like 'product-market fit'. Each card should include podcast name, episode title, short summary, timestamp, and play button.”

For the Snap board detail:

“Create a clean screen where users can view saved podcast insights. Use card-style layout with AI quotes, source info, and timestamp. Add a 'Share Snap' button at the top.”

For the onboarding screen:

“Design an onboarding screen with a question at the top like ‘What topics do you want insights on?’ followed by rounded-pill topic buttons and a Next CTA. Use soft shadows and a light background.”

Hey Panchali,

This is such a cool idea and something I’d definitely use! I love how you described your process. It’s really easy to follow, and your insights into what worked and didn’t work with AI were super interesting.

My only small comment would be that the screens feel a little cramped within the phone frame, which makes it look slightly less polished.

Overall, really solid work. It’s so interesting to see how people’s workflows are evolving with tools like UX Pilot.

Thanks for the review. Yes, they are super cramped, I used the free version of UXPilot and it wouldn't let me copy the screens. I have now removed the frames so that it doesn't look cramped.
