Print resolution
You’ll notice that the terminology for resolution on screen and in print is different. The resolution is defined in terms of pixels per inch in digital displays (a pixel is a tiny square). For print, we use dots per inch (a dot is a tiny circle of ink).
A user’s eye can’t generally determine quality differences above 200DPI. Yet, it's best to use at least 300DPI to deliver crisp, clear images.[2] One way to check that your image is high resolution for print is to zoom it to at least 200% and see if it still looks clear.
