Project Submission: LIFTLAB Landing Page

1. Fitness Platform Selected

LIFTLAB is a modern, results-driven fitness center that prioritizes science-based programming, expert coaching, and a motivating in-person community. The brand emphasizes intentional training, mental and physical resilience, and no-fluff transformation. This platform speaks directly to individuals tired of shortcuts and ready to commit to real progress.

2. Landing Page Overview

I created a clean, visually bold single-page landing page using the provided desktop template. The layout highlights:

  • A hero section with an emotional hook and CTA.
  • Key value propositions under “Why Choose Us?”
  • Clear membership options with pricing and benefits.
  • An “About Us” section with strong positioning copy.
  • Trainer showcases to build trust.
  • Footer with brand identity, contact details, and social links.

This structure builds trust fast and guides users toward booking or purchasing a membership.

3. Copywriting Approach

The copy was crafted to:

  • Use high-impact, motivational language that speaks to committed fitness enthusiasts.
  • Reassure readers with a science-backed, supportive community tone.
  • Drive a single action: starting their fitness journey with LIFTLAB.

The messaging avoids trends, buzzwords, or vague promises. Instead, it focuses on clarity, transparency, and transformation through consistency. I wanted users to feel inspired, informed, and confident in taking the next step.

4. Copy Examples

Hero:

“Transform your body. Energize your mind. Join the movement.”

Clear, energizing, and action-oriented.

Subcopy:

“At LIFTLAB, we don’t do gimmicks - just results. Our coaches use data, technique, and real accountability to help you train with intention.”

Establishes trust and tone early.

Membership Titles:

Clear, value-focused pass options that are easy to scan and differentiate (e.g., “In Shape Pass [AM]” vs. “Monthly Unlimited”).

5. Visual Design Choices

  • Dark background with bold white and yellow typography reflects strength and urgency.
  • High-contrast CTA buttons stand out clearly for conversion.
  • Iconography was used strategically to guide scanning behavior and reinforce trust.
  • Trainer photos humanize the brand and build confidence.

The tone, color, and font choices reflect a no-nonsense, premium training experience. Images of strong, focused athletes reinforce the message.

6. Notes

  • I used a Figma desktop template to ensure layout responsiveness and design consistency.
  • Copy formatting (e.g., bold key phrases, scannable bullet points) improves readability.
  • Hierarchy is maintained through consistent use of headings and clear visual separation.
  • Included all required sections: Hero, Value Prop, Membership, About, Trainers, Contact.

Dijana, you led strong on this one, this ticks all the boxes for me!

As a content designer, do you use any AI in your workflow? If so or if not, what’s your usual process like?

Visual-wise, here are a few things you could improve:

• As a general rule, try to avoid pitch black in UI design. While it offers strong contrast, it can strain the eyes. Toning it down to something like #333 - #666 could make it easier to read.

• Not sure if the slight indentation on the logo is intentional, especially since the rest of the content aligns left.

• This might just be a small oversight: you added a transparent gradient border to the hero image to blend with the surrounding area, but forgot to apply it to the top and bottom edges. There’s a visible fine line between the hero image and the menu (Why Liftlab, Membership, About Us, Trainers).

• Personal preference, but I think the line-height in the hero section is slightly too tall, just a touch tighter could help.

• In the "Why Choose Us" section, the icon complexity varies: “results-focused training” and “science-based programs” use a more detailed style compared to the other. Normally, icons follow a consistent stroke and simplicity, I get it if icon design wasn’t your focus, tho.

• The pricing text looks a bit extended horizontally for me, as if the font was stretched disproportionately. If that’s part of the typeface, consider switching to a narrower font just for pricing.

• Unfortunately, the texts “David Martinez,” “Blake Thompson,” and slightly “Samantha Reid” don’t look vertically centered beneath their photos like the rest of the trainers. You should ask if they’re okay with that 🥲 also, slightly smaller social icons with a thicker outline might elevate the look — same goes for the footer icons.

One last thing: do you know if Liftlab offers a monthly membership? I might not be able to commit long-term and would hate to waste a yearly plan 😬

Possible Improvements

  1. More spacing in top navigation in hero section
  2. less text content
  3. better body text . like inter or manrope
  4. use of proximity law
  5. group and tighten related items
  6. separate section and create sense of distinction
