Accessible Signup Form for SaaS Platform | Collin College
Here’s one of my former colleges I attended back in Texas, and I absolutely hated their login screen when I attempted to access the student portal. I couldn’t discern where to navigate when I forgot my password, and it simply felt clunky. Before delving into this course, I struggled to articulate my reasons for liking or disliking something, but now I possess that understanding and comprehend how to enhance accessibility for users from diverse backgrounds.
Within this presentation, you’ll encounter a redesigned login form aimed at simplifying and enhancing accessibility for all users. Enjoy!

I appreciate how you gave context to the previous UI errors and improved on those issues, great work! I am just a tad curious as to why there is a 'back to homepage' button below and not probably a 'cancel' (X) button at the top of the sign in page. I also observed the iOS notch covers the brand logo. I could suggest you resize the logo or adjust the white space and element layout.
Hey Jaylin, thanks for putting together your simplified version of the CougarWeb Collin College login! Keeping the main brand color consistent with the logo and implementing it in the buttons helps maintain continuity throughout the whole web experience.
A tiny suggestion from me is to perhaps use a subtly toned-down dark color for the "Username-password" text compared to the "Sign In" button to distinguish the hierarchy between the texts.
The login experiences vary across platforms like erie.collin.edu (CougarWeb), collin.onelogin.com (Credit Students), and vssb.collin.edu (Continuing Education Students), I aggred "it feels so busy and clunky". It's possible that this variation exists because different vendors built the platforms 🤔
I was hoping to see your take on simplifying this information as well, such as the screen that appears after a user clicks the newly revamped "Need Help?" button. Maybe in your next iteration? 🙂
