Accessible SaaS Sign-Up-Form
Now first of all: I a working student in UX Design right now and I would love to get as much feedback as possible from professionals making their living in UX Design! I educate myself on Uxcel while studying Media Design because the field is just so Fascinating!
Anyhow, Let's start with this form:
This is sign-in and sign-up flow built around progressive disclosure and accessibility.
- Single email field as entry point — the flow detects whether to show sign-in or sign-up automatically
- Inline validation on every field, giving feedback as you type rather than on submit
- Password strength indicator with live color feedback
- Submit stays disabled until all conditions are met, preventing incomplete submissions
- Apple and Google OAuth included as a faster alternative path
- All color combinations tested against WCAG AA
- Custom focus states on all inputs, replacing browser defaults
- Field labels always visible above inputs, never as disappearing placeholders
- Touch targets at 44x44px minimum throughout
Feel free to try it out yourselves!

Hi Benni,
Glad you're loving UX Design! Five years in and I still love it too.
Your project:
The titles are large and clear, which I like. There are some flow issues worth addressing that could make a big difference to the overall onboarding experience.
Improvements:
- The back button in your prototype isn't working for me.
- It took me a while to figure out what was happening. Showing the full flow would really help. What comes before the "nice to meet you" screen? You'd expect the Google sign-up screen to appear first, and a password field would only be needed if the user chose email sign-up.
- The "login or sign up" title is confusing across the screens. I'd remove it entirely.
- If there are specific password criteria (e.g. must be at least 8 characters), it's good practice to make that clear upfront. An info button next to the password field works well for this.
- There are a few spelling and grammar mistakes throughout worth tidying up.
Overall, good effort! There's always more to learn in UX Design, that's what keeps our field exciting 😊.
