Project Overview: The objective of this project was to enhance the user experience on the Wayfair website by identifying and addressing usability issues. Through a detailed usability test, we aimed to simplify navigation, improve the checkout process, and make website features clearer and more user-friendly.

- Selected 12 participants with varying levels of familiarity with Wayfair.
- Created realistic tasks to simulate typical user interactions.
- Conducting the Test:
- Both remote and in-person sessions were conducted.
- Participants performed tasks while their interactions were observed and recorded.
- Analyzing Data:
- Quantitative data: task completion rate (83%), error rate (17%).
- Qualitative data: feedback on navigation, error messages, filter complexity, and product reviews.
- Identifying Issues:
- Navigation was not intuitive.
- Error messages lacked clarity.
- Filter options were complex.
- Users wanted more detailed product reviews.
- Developing Recommendations:
- Simplify navigation structure.
- Improve error messages to be clearer.
- Make filter options more user-friendly.
- Encourage customers to leave detailed reviews.
- Implementing Changes:
- Collaborated with the development team to implement the recommended changes.
- Evaluating Impact:
- Follow-up tests and user feedback showed improved task completion times and reduced error rates.
Conclusion: This project was essential in ensuring the Wayfair website meets user expectations, enhancing overall satisfaction and usability. By addressing key issues, we made the site easier to navigate, simplified the checkout process, and improved overall user experience.
