Building A Technical Specification Document For A Grocery Delivery App

This project is a technical specification document for building a push notification system for a mobile on-demand grocery delivery app. To make this project more practical and based on a real-life scenario, I chose Instacart as the company to do this for. Here is the structure of my document:

Summary: A general overview of what this feature will entail and the gaps/opportunities it addresses

Background: The "why" of the feature. It gives the argument and reasons for building this feature, and the problems it will tackle

Key Stakeholders: Addresses all the teams that will be involved in building this feature and what they will be focusing on

Goals: The main goal results we aim for in the form of changes in KPIs

Out-Of-Scope Actions: The actions that can turn into scope creep and waste resources

Systems Diagrams: A technical and non-technical overview of the feature so all stakeholders can understand the feature. I chose to use AWS system symbols for a technical view since Instacart does use AWS.

Measuring Impact: A database that tracks numbers and progress in each KPI we are trying to impact
