Position overview

The Xapo app delivers a best-in-class, end-to-end experience for both external and internal clients, reflected in consistently positive reviews. It enables members to spend, protect, and earn on their USD and BTC deposits in a simple, honest, and transparent way. We design the app to be intuitive and reassuring, helping members feel confident every time they use it.

A key area of focus is Transactions—where members move and spend their money. Our goal is to make transactions effortless while staying ahead of emerging standards in payment technology. For example, members can seamlessly toggle between spending in BTC or USD using their Xapo card. They can also deposit and send fiat, crypto, or stablecoins with ease.

As a Product Designer, you’ll shape a first-class user experience in partnership with Product Managers, engineers, and fellow designers. This role is ideal for someone who excels in creating intuitive, user-centered interfaces in a collaborative, agile environment.

You’ll contribute to product strategy from the ideation and R&D stages, conduct ongoing benchmarking and research, and use insights to develop concepts into validated design solutions. Your work will help create delightful, consistent experiences for our members.

Responsibilities:

  • Design interfaces, flows, interactions, and experiences for new features that impact our members’ lives.
  • Collaborate with Product on ongoing discovery to understand client attitudes, behaviours, and needs.
  • Use data, technical constraints, and business requirements to create holistic, multi-perspective solutions.
  • Effectively communicate your design thinking to cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Build functional prototypes to validate and test your designs.
  • Identify product improvements by understanding current pain points and unmet needs.
  • Design elegant, scalable components that integrate into our Design System.

You’ll also:

  • Actively contribute to and evolve our Design System.
  • Give and receive feedback constructively.
  • Advocate for cross-functional collaboration and help identify team dependencies.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners/Managers on the feature roadmap and maintain your design roadmap.
  • Partner with engineers to ensure smooth implementation of your designs.

Skills needed:

  • We are specifically looking at someone who is strong at designing native mobile apps and who understands and values platform and app standards.
  • Proven experience designing service-oriented, high-touch interactions for both end-users and customer service teams.
  • Comfortable working closely with engineers and PMs in a fast-paced, sprint-driven setup.
  • Ability to translate abstract product visions into MVPs without compromising quality or value.
  • Skilled in using research and product insights to drive meaningful design enhancements.

Xapo Device Policy

Consultants joining Xapo Bank must comply with the Xapo Device Policy, which governs the use of corporate-approved laptops under Corporate-Owned, Personally Purchased Device (reimbursed up to $1,500) or Corporate-Owned, Personally Enabled Device (personal device with enforced security controls).

All devices must meet security requirements, enroll in Xapo’s Mobile Device Management (MDM), and adhere to compliance rules. COPPD devices remain Xapo property with buyback options upon exit. COPED users agree to data control measures, including mandatory corporate data wipes.

Compliance with the Xapo Device Policy is mandatory for all consultants, onboarding will not proceed without adherence to the policy.
