visionOS introduces the Shared Space — a default environment where multiple apps can exist side by side, similar to a Mac desktop but in three-dimensional space.
Space types and behavior:
- Default launching: Apps open in Shared Space by default, automatically positioning themselves in available areas around the user's view.
- Content presentation: Apps can display content through windows (2D planes with depth effects) or volumes (3D objects viewable from any angle).
- Flexible arrangement: Users can freely reposition windows and volumes within the Shared Space, creating personalized layouts for different tasks.[1]
