Summary
I am a business technology consultant who is transitioning into a design career.
I discovered the world of UX in an undergraduate human computer interaction class that I had only taken as an elective. I felt inspired by figuring out why people think the way they do and learning how to design things to be easy and enjoyable to use.
I was so inspired, that I pursued a Maser of Information Science degree to deepen my knowledge and give me hands on experience in UX design, information architecture, cognitive science, and human computer interaction. I was intrigued by the topic and fully invested in every class project, but life pulled me in a different direction after I graduated.
Now, I am realizing that life is too short to do something you don't enjoy. I've gained invaluable transferable skills working at a prestigious consulting firm, but it's only one step in my journey. I want to spend my career immersed in something I truly love.
