Social Discovery for Video Streaming
In this project, I tried to introduce a new feature that makes content discovery more social and personal. Instead of relying only on algorithm-based suggestions, the concept brings friend-based recommendations into the core user experience.
I designed a mobile-first flow where users can view, share, and respond to movie or show suggestions from people they trust. The idea came from a competitive analysis that revealed a lack of social context in current streaming platforms. That insight shaped the opportunity to design a lighter and more human-centered approach to discovery.
The wireframes guide users through a clear and simple journey. It starts with viewing a friend’s recommendation and ends with sharing one of your own. Key interaction decisions focused on intuitive navigation, support for empty states, contextual comments, and maintaining a clean visual hierarchy.
Each screen includes annotations to explain behavior and intent. Future enhancements could include allowing multiple recommendations per user, visibility into active recommendation circles, and deeper engagement features that support community-driven discovery.

Vinay, love how you turned social discovery into a clear flow 👏 — adding a touch more visual polish and expanding reflections will make this an even stronger portfolio piece.
You're on a great track! This appears to be a well-structured case study foundation, particularly strong in terms of its logical flow. With a few visual polish touches, deeper content in the reflection, and added annotations, it could become an impressive portfolio piece
