As a UI/UX designer for a hiring service, My goal is to make the profile page visually clear and straightforward for potential hiring managers based on user's feedback pain points.

As I address the issues, these are the design solutions that I made:

  1. Adding a Profile image. It improves user identification, enhances professionalism, and enables personalization and engagement.
  2. Prioritize essential candidate information prominently at the top. This will allow employers to easily scan and assess candidates.
  3. Group UI cards to minimize scrolling effort.
  4. Redistribute content evenly across the page for a more balanced and user-friendly design.

The revamped JobStreet User Profile page caters to both job seekers and hiring managers. I’ve prioritized visual clarity, ensuring essential information stands out prominently. The streamlined layout makes navigation straightforward, and the page specifically targets hiring managers, presenting relevant details they need to evaluate candidates.

I really admire the revamped version.

Adding the job title in the header, as well as chips with skills, makes the profile easily scannable. I think it will definitely make recruiters’ work a lot easier. Also, I like the Portfolio / Resume / Career Aspirations section. I believe it will help job seekers present themselves in the best light, and hiring managers will be able to see right away if the candidate is the right fit for the company and vice versa.

The work is presented effectively. The issues that hiring managers and job seekers encounter when interacting with the profile page are identified clearly. Everything is well-structured and clear. Great work, keep it up!

"Add Skill" Button

  • The "+ Add Skill" button appears somewhat disabled due to low contrast, which may confuse users about its functionality. Increasing the contrast would improve visibility and usability.

"User Research & Analysis" Button

  • The button for "User Research & Analysis" stands out with a slightly gray background, while the other buttons do not have this highlighting. It's unclear why this button is emphasized differently, and consistent styling would improve the overall coherence.

Missing "Send Message" Option

  • The absence of a "Send Message" option limits communication between hiring managers and candidates, which is a key feature for user engagement. Adding this button would enhance the profile's functionality, enabling better interaction.
