Heuristic Evaluation of Vinted Mobile App
Iteration and improvement:
A few weeks ago, I conducted a heuristic evaluation of the Vinted app, identifying some usability issues. After receiving valuable feedback from my peers in this community, I decided to revisit the evaluation and incorporate their insights. Along the way, I refined my own ideas. This iterative process allowed me to strengthen the overall analysis and recommend actionable steps to enhance the user experience.
The project highlights my ability to adapt, collaborate, and continuously improve both my design thinking and problem-solving approach.

Your evaluation is truly impressive.
🌟 The depth of analysis and the effort you’ve put into this work stand out remarkably. Your first slide, outlining Nielsen's heuristics, brought back some great memories from my university days! 📚
It’s evident that these detailed evaluations are essential for identifying dark patterns and usability issues in everyday apps, and it’s clear you’ve learned a lot from this. Excellent job! 👏
🤔 Just a minor suggestions:
- While it was easy for me to follow since I’m fluent in both Spanish and English, consider switching the app screenshots to English. This will ensure that everyone reviewing your work can easily read and understand the content of the mobile app.
- Also... you might want to work a bit on the visual design of the presentation and the typography selection to enhance readability. With these tweaks, your presentation would be flawless. ✨
Keep up the fantastic work! 💫💫💫💫💫
"Nicely done! A quite comprehensive analysis from a heuristic evaluation point of view. Of course, Vinted still presents way more issues than that, but for the sake of illustrating an example of the typical approach of the Heuristic Evaluation, it is more than enough. Great work! Keep it coming."
I agree with most of the things you wrote. Well done. I would approach the lack of cart differently: as something that prevents the app from becoming like regular shops. The way they do it makes it more trustworthy to both sellers and buyers.
The evaluation is spot on. It'd have been a useful addition to rate the Severity as a cost to business or product overall, see this as a deliverable for stakeholders, product owners, developers who'll work on it & product people in general.
I hope you get the gist of it all.
Bless.
This is really well done, super example how heuristic is apply.
