Good day,

I want to walk you through the thinking and decisions behind my project.

I started by identifying a real and urgent problem. Many parents today struggle to find childcare that is not only available but also trustworthy and safe. At the same time, there are many caregivers who are capable and willing to work, but they lack access to consistent opportunities and a professional platform to present themselves.

So I saw a clear gap—there is demand, there is supply, but there is no structured, reliable system connecting the two.

Based on that, I made a key decision to build a digital platform that connects parents and caregivers in a safe, transparent, and efficient way.

I then designed the project as a two-sided marketplace, focusing equally on both parents and caregivers. For parents, the goal is to provide peace of mind, convenience, and control. For caregivers, the goal is to provide income opportunities, visibility, and professional growth. This balance is important because the success of the platform depends on both sides growing together.

One of the most important decisions I made was to focus on trust as the core of the product. Childcare is not like other services—it involves safety and emotional assurance. So instead of just building a basic booking app, I prioritized features that build trust.

For example, I included live tracking, so parents can monitor their child’s care in real time. I added verification systems to ensure caregivers are genuine and qualified. I also integrated ratings and reviews to allow users to make informed decisions based on real experiences, and secure payments to protect both parties.

Another key decision was around design. I kept the interface simple, clean, and easy to use. Parents are often busy and need quick solutions, and caregivers may not always be highly technical. So I focused on reducing complexity and making every action clear and straightforward.

From a technology perspective, I chose to build this as a scalable software platform. This allows the system to grow without major increases in cost, and it also opens opportunities for future improvements like smart matching using data and user behavior.

In terms of the business model, I decided on a commission-based structure, where the platform earns a small percentage per booking. This approach keeps the service accessible while ensuring sustainability as usage grows.

I also made a strategic decision to initially focus on urban and digitally active users, where the demand for childcare is high and adoption of technology is faster. This helps the platform gain traction more efficiently before expanding further.

What makes this project stand out is its strong focus on safety, trust, and real-time transparency, which are often missing in existing solutions.

In summary, every decision I made was guided by one goal: to create a solution that is not only functional but also reliable, scalable, and meaningful in people’s everyday lives.

Thank you.

It looks very good overall, but I’m not able to analyze the details. When sharing your project, I recommend adding a more detailed written description and including a Figma link. This will allow for more accurate and constructive feedback.

Hi @Gustavo, Thank you for the feedback. I’ve updated the post with a more detailed project description and included the Figma link for context: https://www.figma.com/design/JFexkesJGf2S8hJzpIKEAQ/task-A-project?node-id=104-3&t=b1EfWXWrWQMyIMhb-1 I would appreciate your thoughts on the user flow and onboarding experience in particular.
