User-Centered Settings for a Streamlined Experience:

This mobile banking app concept prioritizes user-friendliness with a clear and organized settings page. Extensive research on leading Hong Kong banking apps informed the design, with a focus on minimizing cognitive overload for users.

The proposed structure incorporates three key elements:

  • Essential Details Upfront: Frequently accessed settings like contact details and E-statement preferences are placed in the "Personal" section. User research demonstrates these are the most common adjustments users make, reducing the need to search for crucial features.
  • Categorized Management: The remaining settings are grouped into clear categories within the "General" section, mirroring the information architecture of popular Hong Kong banking apps. This familiarity fosters intuitive navigation. Categories like "Account & Cards," "App Settings," "Daily Limits," and "Security Settings" further organize the information, preventing users from feeling overwhelmed by a long list of options.

This optimized structure aims to create a user-friendly experience from the ground up, addressing potential confusion associated with cluttered settings pages. Leveraging user research and familiar patterns from industry leaders ensures a clear and organized approach to managing personal details and account settings within the app.

I think it's a good start for the settings page. You've clearly grouped the settings, adding spacing, visual dividers, and category labels.

However, I have doubts that a banking app can function with this amount of settings. Either the labels aren't clear enough, or the menu options include subcategories, which should be shown here if that's the case. I'd love to hear more about your perspective on how you defined these settings and their names. Card sorting and user interviews might help here.

Agree with other reviews. In addition to that, you can do a better job on spacing, consistency, hierarchy, and overall presentation.

I agree with other reviews. The icon and text should be placed closer together or there should be more space above and below them to create a better balance.

The overall design is okay, however it's look a bit old with today design standards
