Ark Labs is building Arkade, an open-source virtual execution layer for Bitcoin. We’re creating infrastructure that enables programmable, scalable Bitcoin applications without changing the base protocol — while maintaining self-custody and supporting complex financial applications.

We’re a small, async-first team working on foundational technology. If you’re excited about shaping the user experience for Bitcoin-native products, we’d love to work with you.

What You’ll Work On

  • Design the Arkade Wallet experience: intuitive flows for sending, receiving, and managing Bitcoin with ARK + VTXOs.
  • Prototype and refine new Bitcoin-native financial products (smart wallets, lending, marketplaces).
  • Build and maintain a design system across web and mobile.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to ship smooth, consistent interfaces.
  • Conduct user testing to improve usability and accessibility.

Who You Are

  • Strong UI/UX portfolio with experience in mobile/web apps (finance or crypto a plus).
  • Skilled in Figma (or similar); able to deliver both flows and polished visuals.
  • Bonus: graphic/visual design skills (icons, branding, illustrations).
  • Bonus: experience designing for PWAs, React, or TypeScript-based products.
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented, and collaborative.

Why Join Us

  • Impact: Your designs will define how people interact with Bitcoin-native finance.
  • Open Source: Everything we build is public — your work contributes to a global commons.
  • Autonomy: Take ownership from concept to deployment.
  • Remote: Fully distributed team, async-first culture.
  • Innovation: Work on design challenges at the frontier of Bitcoin.
