Facilitator’s techniques
As a facilitator, one of your goals is to stimulate a rich and diverse discussion. This includes encouraging quieter participants to speak, averting too much input from dominating participants, or helping the group stick to the topic.
There's no one-size-fits-all recipe. As you do more workshop facilitation, do your research to learn new tactics and try them in action. That’s the only way to find out what works best for you and your team. Over time, you'll gather a number of techniques in your toolbox and build your own facilitation style.
