Ad banner
Ad banners are UI components that display a prominent message to drive traffic to the advertiser's site. These ads are placed in high-traffic locations on web pages, where users' eyes usually wander: the top, bottom, or side of a webpage. They create brand awareness and generate click-throughs, purchases, and leads for the advertiser.
It's not a secret that people tend to ignore page elements that they perceive (correctly or incorrectly) to be ads. This phenomenon is called banner blindness. So, avoid placing content and ads close to each other. Also, avoid choosing content styling that looks like ads.[1]
