Served as the Graphic Design Consultant for a high-profile national policy report under the JICA Project at the Department of National Planning. Led the whole design process from layout and visual design to final production, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a clear, cohesive, and accessible publication under tight timelines. Work involved formatting complex content, integrating charts, tables, icons, and maps, and structuring annexes that reflected a wide range of development initiatives.

I am responsible for designing high-impact reports, policy briefs, and social media templates that enhance the visibility and effectiveness of UN communications. Working closely with the Communications and Partnerships team, I ensure all materials adhere to UN branding standards, are visually compelling, and effectively convey key messages.

I developed data visualizations and interactive dashboards to communicate insights and analyze trends. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, I ensured data accuracy and integrity, improving the organization's decision-making processes. I also took on a mentorship role, training junior team members in best practices for data visualization, further elevating the design quality across projects. My work enhanced the clarity and impact of research outputs, helping stakeholders make more informed decisions.

I play a key role in graphic design and UI/UX projects, leading efforts from research and design systems to prototyping. Collaborating with a team of five designers, I manage tasks such as low- to high-fidelity wireframes, interactive prototypes, and interface designs. While I continue contributing to branding and visual design, my focus has shifted toward creating intuitive, user-centred digital experiences that balance functionality and aesthetics. Additionally, I mentor junior designers, offering guidance, sharing insights, and working alongside them on projects to enhance their skills and contribute to seamless design execution.

I supported the creative direction of high-profile campaigns, focusing on typography, layout, and animation to deliver visually captivating designs for research outputs. My contributions were key to elevating the visual communication and accessibility of content, ensuring that each project effectively conveyed the intended messages to target audiences. Through close collaboration with the creative team, I refined my design skills while playing a pivotal role in improving the overall aesthetic and engagement of research publications.

I expertly managed materials such as footage, sound effects, and dialogue to create compelling video products within tight deadlines. Using Adobe Premiere Pro and other video editing tools, I assembled raw footage and enhanced it with sound, graphics, and special effects to align with directors’ creative visions. I built strong client relationships by ensuring open communication and reliability and consistently delivering high-quality finished products. My video editing work improved audience engagement and contributed to long-term business growth and loyalty through tailored, collaborative approaches.

I played a key role in designing and editing engaging content for social media platforms and partner channels, enhancing the visibility and engagement of various brands. I worked closely with clients, providing regular updates and adjusting to meet their needs. My ability to combine strong interpersonal skills with creative design helped me build and maintain client relationships. Through constant communication and independent follow-up on design iterations, I delivered visually striking and strategic advertising content aligned with the brands’ objectives.

I designed supplementary textbooks for local and international institutions. I provided comprehensive design solutions, from cover design and artwork to typesetting and pagination, ensuring high-quality standards throughout the process. I worked closely with authors to meet their objectives while managing the printing process in collaboration with print vendors. My attention to detail, from creating mockups to conducting thorough quality checks, ensured that each book met the client’s expectations, ultimately expanding sales to other countries in Sri Lanka.

Working closely with clients, I deliver precise, high-impact visuals that resonate with target audiences.
