Joined Wine Adore, an ambitious Singapore-based wine & spirits startup, as their first mid-senior product designer. Led the full product development process for their MVP, resulting in 1,000+ new customers and over SGD 14,000 in revenue in first month of launch. Also played a key role in building our tech team and establishing a culture of Agile, Lean, and DevOps in collaboration with the CTO, principal engineer, and product manager.
Trusted and held a key role as a UI/UX Designer in handling a project for an Awards Winning and International Recognized Social Enterprise for Coastal Community named Azura Indonesia. With the objective of creating a responsive website to increase conversion rate, increase investor interest in funding, and increase credibility to the general public.
Recognized as one of the top design talents from Bali, I was trusted and held a key role as a Professional Judge in the field of User Interface and User Experience in a national-scale UI/UX competition attended by over 20 participants from prestigious universities in Indonesia. I was responsible for providing constructive feedback on participants' work, providing education, fair assessment, as well as improvisation and encouragement to the competition participants. This resulted in a positive impression from the participants and the committee, a successful event, and helped me to maximize the art of giving feedback and make a positive impact for all participants from Bali and all over Indonesia.
Recognized as one of the top and revolutionary participants in the BINAR Academy Bootcamp 2022, I was grateful to be invited to be the only Professional Judge in front of over 100+ brilliant participants from all over Indonesia, from the best universities in Indonesia in the field of User Interface, User Experience Design & Research and Product Management, accompanied by reliable mentors in their field at the UI/UX Design & Research X Product Management Final Project Presentation event of BINAR Academy 2023. I was trusted to provide constructive, realistic feedback, and motivation to develop the careers of all participants. As a result, I was able to make a positive impact in developing the talents of the BINAR Academy 2023 graduates, the event was a success, and it gave a positive impression to all participants and mentors.
As the sole product designer, I spearheaded a transformation in product design practice and culture, fostering the growth of 2-5 apprentice designers through mentorship and hands-on experience. In collaboration with BPD Bali, I led the development of ATIX Bali, a highly profitable online ticketing platform for Bali tourism. This platform now features 40+ top attractions and generates tens to hundreds of billions of rupiah in annual transactions, demonstrating significant impact on the local tourism industry. My strong track record of delivering impactful products is further evidenced by the successful launches of Alam Tirta Ticket Checker, Mambal Village All-in-One Information System App, and PT KAI Wisata Point of Sale & Self Kiosk.
Selected as one of 60 participants from all over Indonesia who had the opportunity to participate in an intensive international learning program from Apple. In the intensive learning program, I had the opportunity to become a Project Team Lead, leading the development of Product Design and iOS Development with a team of 5 people consisting of 3 iOS Engineers, 1 UI/UX Designer, and me as Lead.
Recruited as the first Product Designer to join Alterstay, as an Intern, with my big dreams, I was trusted to develop the Product & Design team, introduce design development processes such as Design Thinking, Design System, Information Architecture, and introduce Low Code Development technology to support product development productivity. With the results of my tenure for 7 months, I have successfully completed the MVP and released the Alterstay product.
- In under 2 months, I led the rapid expansion of the Product & Design team, I established a cross-functional unit capable of tackling complex challenges and delivering impactful solutions. The expanded team now includes UX designers, researchers, and product managers, enabling a more holistic approach to product development.
- By spearheading the implementation of foundational DesignOps and establishing a robust Design System, I accelerated Alterstay's MVP launch, achieving market entry in under 7 months. This strategic initiative not only generated an impressive $1.5 million USD in gross income but also attracted over 15,000 new web visitors across key markets including the USA, Indonesia, Japan, Australia, and Singapore.
- In under 7 months, I collaborated with the team to successfully deliver a full-featured website for Alterstay, encompassing essential pages like the Property Booking Portal, partner information, and more.
Recognized as the participant with the most appreciation at Binar Academy X Kampus Merdeka Batch 2 and the most revolutionary in his presentation, I was given the opportunity to become a Project Team Lead, leading UI/UX Design & Research and Product Management. I moved to become a UI/UX Designer who led the research and design process and became a Scrum Master. As a result, I was able to lead my team to achieve the highest score in the assessment and receive the title of ‘Epic Comeback’ from the mentor team and Binar Academy team.
As a User Interface Designer Apprentice, I was responsible for designing the user interface of the Harisenin Millenial School (now known as Harisenin Bootcamp) LMS (Learning Management System) Web Dashboard. I implemented the use of a Design System in the dashboard's creation and actively collaborated with cross-functional teams. As a result of my four-month tenure at Harisenin, I helped the company create an LMS Web Dashboard that is used by thousands to tens of thousands of students.
- I worked with UX Researchers to design the Information Architecture, which maximized the user interface design process and ensured that users could easily use the product.
- I worked with UX Researchers to design the User Flow and User Journey Map, which maximized the user experience when using the product and created fluid interactions.
- I implemented the use of a Design System and designed a user interface that was user-friendly and had good usability and accessibility.
As the only UI/UX Designer with a crucial role in designing the solution in the form of a mobile application called BASRA (Bali Nusra Robo Advisor), which has a mission to restore the economy of Bali Nusra (Bali, NTB, NTT) during the COVID-19 pandemic. BASRA is a mobile application that provides recommendations for tourist destinations in Bali Nusra that have been certified by CHSE (Hotels and Accommodation, Restaurants, Tourist Attractions) and an automatic itinerary maker supported by AI technology for tourists who want to visit Bali Nusra. As a result, the project, which collaborated with the Central Bank of Indonesia and INSPIX Technologies as the AI technology developer for BASRA, received good support and impression from the local and provincial governments of Bali.
- Designed the User Flow and Information Architecture for the BASRA application, creating fluid and user-friendly interactions.
- Designed a user interface that is user-friendly and designed interactive prototypes for the development of the MVP and presentation to the Provincial Government of Bali.
- Led the research process to prepare the application for use by all target user personas. I used several research methods for this, such as How Might We, Pain Points Identification, User Persona, SWOT Analysis, and Competitor Analysis.
I was trusted by the lecturer and the program to be an Assistant Lecturer for the Data Structure course. I taught over 100 students of the Computer Science program at Udayana University about the fundamentals of Data Structure such as Linked List, Graph, Tree, and more, as well as how to solve problems effectively by designing algorithms. In addition to teaching, I was also responsible for designing the material, giving assessments and feedback, and giving assignments. As a result of all of this, the Data Structure course became one of the courses with the highest student average grades at the time and received a high student satisfaction rating. My teaching helped students to improve their understanding of Data Structure, and it also helped them to succeed in their careers.
In my youth, while still in college, I successfully founded a B2B startup in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision called INSPIX Technologies, as Co-Founder and Product Designer, together with 2 of my friends who are also the Founder, CTO and Founder, CEO. The startup focuses on providing computer vision solutions during the COVID-19 pandemic, detecting crowds and masks. The startup has received recognition and support from the Indonesian Ministry of Industry, the Central Bank of Indonesia, the Bali Creative Industry Centre, and many more.
- I played a key role in designing INSPIX Technologies, from branding & identity, design system, to user interface. I created user-friendly designs that also had attractive aesthetics. The INSPIX Technologies design was also designed in accordance with the UX Laws.
- I implemented the principles of Design System in the creation of the user interface. This has proven that INSPIX can produce consistent product designs, and it has also made the communication and handoff process with the CTO as a Full Stack Engineer easier.
- I was responsible for understanding and meeting the needs of business customers, by conducting In-Depth Interviews, Identifying Pain Points, Competitor Analysis, and User Acceptance Testing. With this, I and my team were able to produce the right AI solutions for customers.
Education
Graduated with honors from the Computer Science program at Udayana University in 3.5 years. Received the 'Young Entrepreneur' award from the rector, and the best thesis in the Computer Science program in the UI/UX and Human Computer Interaction department. Active in entrepreneurship activities until receiving support from the Indonesian government, became the founder of 2 non-profit organizations that operate in the field of education and humanitarianism until receiving national awards, active in volunteering activities and became a mentor until successfully sharing knowledge to 500+ people, and actively won Science Project and Business competitions on a national scale.
