Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Product Designer to drive and elevate the end-to-end experience of our global e-commerce platform. In this role, you will take ownership of complex shopping-related design initiatives and help shape how millions of users interact with our products, ensuring experiences are intuitive, efficient, and delightful while aligning with business objectives.

You will contribute design direction, judgment, and craft leadership, alongside high-quality design execution.

Job Expectations:

  • Lead end-to-end design across multiple initiatives, from early concept and problem framing through stakeholder alignment and final delivery.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to understand shopping behaviors and translate insights into effective, data-informed design solutions.
  • Create high-quality wireframes, prototypes, and mockups that balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
  • Champion a cohesive and scalable design language, leveraging and contributing to the design system while ensuring global usability and accessibility standards.
  • Partner closely with engineers to ensure designs are feasible, well-implemented, and delivered with high fidelity.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and other designers to influence product direction and design decisions.
  • Maintain a high bar for design quality and consistency, from concept through implementation.
  • Provide design guidance and mentorship to junior designers, helping raise overall design quality and craft.
  • Stay current with UX, UI, and e-commerce best practices, and apply them thoughtfully to improve product experiences at scale.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 10+ years of professional experience in UX/UI or Product Design, including experience designing e-commerce or shopping-related products.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating prior UX and UI work, including shopping or e-commerce experiences, that clearly showcases problem-solving, design thinking, and execution quality.
  • Proven ability to deliver successful design outcomes that balance user needs, business impact, and product complexity.
  • Strong interaction and visual design skills, with a high bar for modern UI craft.
  • Demonstrated experience working with and evolving design systems at scale.
  • Solid grounding in user-centered design methodologies, research practices, and usability testing.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and trade-offs to cross-functional partners and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with front-end development principles and common implementation constraints.
  • Working knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Experience designing for global or multi-market products is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, Graphic Arts/Design, Information Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Judgment/Reasoning Ability:

Able to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment, poise and diplomacy. Ability to use judgment and reasoning skills, and determine when to escalate issues, as required, in a timely manner.
