Role overview

We're hiring a Product Designer to own the direction of UI and UX across TimeZest as we enter an exciting new chapter.

You'll take full ownership of our design system and component library - shaping how it evolves as the product grows. You'll work closely with product and engineering to translate user needs into intuitive, polished experiences that our customers love.

We're looking for a strong product designer with a great eye for visual design, deep understanding of UX principles, and the ability to balance user needs with business goals - someone who is curious, collaborative, and comfortable owning the design function within a product team.

What you’ll do

  • Own the product design function - take responsibility for the UI and UX direction of TimeZest
  • Evolve our design system and component library, ensuring consistency and scalability as the product grows
  • Design end-to-end user experiences - from discovery and wireframes through to high-fidelity mockups and prototypes
  • Collaborate closely with product management and engineering to take features from concept to production
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to validate designs and inform product decisions
  • Shape AI-enhanced experiences - help design user experiences that integrate AI assistance and intelligent workflows responsibly and effectively
  • Maintain well-organized Figma files that enable seamless handoff to engineering

What we’re looking for

  • 4+ years of professional product design experience, ideally in B2B SaaS
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating excellent visual design skills and thoughtful UX solutions
  • Deep expertise with Figma, including component libraries, auto-layout, and design tokens
  • Experience with prototyping tools (Figma prototyping, Framer, Principle, or similar)
  • A track record of building and maintaining design systems
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills within a fully remote, async-friendly team

Our Stack

Ruby on Rails 8, PostgreSQL, Sidekiq, TypeScript, React, Redux, Tailwind - all running on Heroku.

Nice to Have

  • Frontend development skills (HTML, CSS, React) - ability to prototype in code or collaborate deeply with engineers
  • Experience using LLMs to turn designs into code or enhance your design workflow

What we offer

  • Competitive salary with equity options
  • Full remote role, open worldwide providing there is some overlap with engineering team
  • New company issued machine
  • Annual company and team trips to gather and get to know each other better
  • Flexible hours, home-office stipend, annual learning allowance
  • Full licences to your favourite coding agent tool (Cursor, Copilot etc)

This is a permanent, full-time position with a salary paid monthly. It is a remote position, and you can be based anywhere in the world, if you have 2-3 hours of overlap with the engineering team.
