As the Director of Product Design, you will lead and grow a small but high-impact team of designers to deliver cohesive user experiences across our enterprise SaaS platform. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the design strategy, elevating design quality, and ensuring design is deeply embedded in how we build and ship products.

Reporting to the SVP of Product, you’ll partner closely with Product and Engineering leadership to align design direction with business goals, scale design operations, and foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and customer focus.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and grow a multi-disciplinary design organization, including product designers and engineers, ensuring clear structure, ownership, and development paths across product areas.
  • Define and drive the design strategy for your product portfolio—balancing user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to shape product vision, strategy, and roadmap execution.
  • Uphold design excellence through rigorous design reviews, foster collaboration, and maintain consistency across teams and products.
  • Strengthen the design operating model, refining processes that enable efficient cross-functional collaboration and delivery at scale.
  • Champion user-centered design practices, ensuring teams leverage research and data to inform decisions and measure impact.
  • Collaborate with peers across Product, Engineering, and Research to advance design systems, accessibility, and usability standards.
  • Mentor and develop design leaders, providing guidance on leadership, execution, and strategic influence.
  • Foster a culture of trust, collaboration, and high performance across the team
  • Represent design in company-wide forums, effectively communicating design priorities, progress, and impact to senior stakeholders.
  • Contribute to org-wide initiatives, helping evolve how design supports customer success, innovation, and product differentiation.

What You'll Bring:

  • 10–15 years of UX/product design experience, with 4+ years leading teams and/or design managers in a product design organization.
  • Proven experience designing and leading complex enterprise SaaS or B2B applications.
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling multi-team design organizations and processes.
  • Experience driving cross-functional alignment between Product, Engineering, and Design at the director level.
  • Deep understanding of interaction design, systems thinking, and design operations.
  • Experience bridging design and front-end development, with an understanding of component-based frameworks and how design systems scale in code.
  • Strong leadership skills—able to motivate, mentor, and develop design talent across levels.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills; adept at influencing senior leaders.
  • Proven ability to balance strategic vision and hands-on execution, with strong business acumen.
  • Expertise in modern design and collaboration tools (e.g., Figma, Jira, Miro).
  • A portfolio or case studies demonstrating team leadership, design strategy, and measurable business impact.
