Managing stakeholders and communicating vision
Even the best product vision creates no value until it's effectively shared with and embraced by stakeholders. Different audiences, like executives, development teams, marketing, and sales, need different aspects of your vision emphasized to gain their support. Start by mapping your stakeholder ecosystem, identifying key individuals and groups who will influence or be affected by your product strategy. For each stakeholder, note their main interests, concerns, preferred communication styles, and level of influence. Develop tailored messages that highlight aspects of your vision and strategy most relevant to each audience.
Set up regular communication channels with key stakeholders, balancing formal updates with informal check-ins. Create ways for stakeholders to share concerns and suggestions, showing that communication flows both ways.[1]
