HTML-supported audio formats

HTML supports 3 audio formats: MP3, WAV, and OGG.^[1] However, not all browsers render every media type correctly. For example, Safari won't load files with the .ogg extension. In this case, you should have a plan B and provide MP3 or WAV files.
